Claim status | Status Definition |
Assigned | We are in receipt of the claim, and it has been assigned to an adjuster |
Accepted | The claim has been reviewed and determined to be compensable, with benefits or claim handling proceeding while the claim remains open. |
Partially Accepted | A portion of the claim has been accepted as compensable, while one or more elements of the claim have been denied or remain excluded. |
Not Compensable | The claim has been reviewed and determined not to meet compensability requirements; benefits are not payable under the claim. |
Denied | The claim has been disputed or denied based on the compensability decision, and no acceptance of benefits has been established while the claim remains open. |
Pending | A compensability decision has not yet been finalized; the claim remains open while review, investigation, or additional information is pending. |
Closed | The claim has been closed, and no further claim activity is expected unless the claim is reopened. |
Open | The claim is open but does not currently meet the criteria for another defined status. |
